Pharmaceuticals Applications / Uses:

Docusate Sodium is used as Active ingredients and excipients.
 

Docusate sodium is a surfactant which is excellent emulsifier, wetting, dispersing and solubilizing agent.
 

Uses of Docusate sodium:
 

  1. Laxative (Stool Softner)
  2. Dispersing agent for tablet manufacture
  3. Liquid or Gel suspensions
  4. Effervescing tablets
  5. Emulsifier for creams and gels
  6. Emulsifier and softener for ear wax removal compounds
  7. Wetting agent in pre-operative colon cleaning preparations to prenatal and geriatric vitamin preparations.
  8. As solubilizing agent, to improve solubility of poorly soluble active pharmaceuticals ingredients (API) formulations.
